Gwen, 39, The Bronx, NY
Case Management Supervisor, Probation Department

Gwen was looking for a coach who could help her get to the gym more frequently, and drop some pounds. During her first session, she realized that there were far more significant changes happening in her life that she wanted to and needed to address instead; she redefined her goals, and what she wanted to get from her coach, and committed our time to more substantial life change.

Gwen was feeling incredibly stuck at work. She had enrolled in academic programs that would enable her to make a significant change in a few years, but wanted to find a way to enjoy her career now, and not just a few years from now.

Gwen significantly changed her home and office environments to create space for the new opportunities that she would soon be welcoming into her life, putting her "in" the change, instead of waiting for it to come. She made room for a new stage of her life. She then allowed the business to begin by committing to it - by telling friends and family about the business she was starting, and making it real.

"Our sessions made me think about ways that I was stuck that never occurred to me. It connected things that were heretofore unrelated - even the relationship of the furniture in my home to the rest of life, and my family with that furniture and all the train of thought around getting rid of it, getting myself to get rid of it - it made me not take anything for granted."
