Launch a Company

Rebecca, 40, Manhattan
Owner, Public Relations Firm

Rebecca was a successful public relations executive, promoting some of the biggest names in the food and restaurant world. She was in the midst of launching her own business, and wanted to start it strong and sanely.

We began by taking stock of her unique skills, standards and values, and determined which qualities she'd like to bring to her company and which she's like to leave behind. Rebecca selected her board of advisors and developed alliances with other professionals who were also starting their own businesses, so that she'd enjoy the benefit of peers. In addition to business structuring, Rebecca looked to her coach to help her organize some of the week to week logistical planning so that she could move forward efficiently, effectively and set boundaries with clients.

"For me, it's a third party, or a second person saying "you have this and this", don't worry about that, just focus on this this week. You could lose track of the big picture. The minute we broke it down, I could see it, approach it, and I feel better."
